I get what you're saying and I would definitely agree in the case of Fedora Silverblue/Kinoite. I specifically said Bazzite because it is specifically made to be as hassle free as possible while also providing a lot out of the box.

If someone needs help there's a dedicated forum for that, documentation and also a Discord server. It can be more complex in some areas for troubleshooting, but it is also big enough to the point where you can get help if needed.

Bazzite has been the smoothest experience I ever had on Linux since I started using it in 2018 when Proton launched. I even use it on my main computer and laptop.

If I had to recommend a non atomic distro the only ones would be Solus and Nobara, but on Nobara you need to keep an eye on their Discord because of manual interventions every now and then.

Just use Bazzite, works out of the box, basically doesn't break, is very up-to-date, comes with KDE which is similar enough to Windows but can do so much more and install anything you need from the app store. It also has the ability to install from other ways and the documentation for it is decent enough on their forums.

Congrats! Is this the first person you've told?

Thank you!! And yes, she's the first person I told about it.

You are you! The labels are all just oversimplifications anyways. :) Do you have any plans to make any changes?

I do want to, like I want to act more feminine for example, but I'm too shy and too afraid/anxious to do so right now, so it's probably take some time before I start showing my true self.

I probably should just switch to a non-verbal method to come out to my family. Cuz verbal methods seem really hard.

It's way easier that way. I mean, still difficult, but definitely more maneageble. I do hope it goes well for you ☺️

Recently talked with my psychologist about the possibility of me being trans. I'm still not sure what exactly I am, but this is something that have been on my mind for the last 4 years at least.

I was very anxious and couldn't really verbalize it so I wrote it down for her, but I'm glad I had the courage to do it. ☺️

Elongated Muskrat strikes again lmao. I didn't know we were the 3rd largest group of Twitter users tho, I always thought we Brazilians were a lot smaller on there because Twitter is one of the least used platforms here.

It's cool seeing a lot of Brazilians, specially artists, migrating to Bluesky, at least there are good tools to deal with bullshit and bigotry there, I have yet to see something awful on that site.

I used Nobara for a year and my main partition got corrupted after a hard reset because my RAM is faulty. Decided to try Bazzite, everything has been smooth sailing and the best experience I've ever had on Linux, but if I had to list three things that would be:

  1. Can't install xpad drivers from git because the Desktop is atomic.

I used a pending PR for xpad under Nobara that allowed access for the extra buttons for my Flydigi Vader 3 Pro under Linux. Right now I'm just using a VM with Windows to configure it as I want, it's a hassle but it works.

  1. I don't know why the Steam client likes to freeze so much under Wayland every time a Steam spawned window is closed, it honestly gets on my nerves sometimes, wish it would just have native support by now.

  2. Kernel level Anticheats that block Linux.

Not that much of a problem but it's annoying when some game I really want to play just doesn't work. I wanted to play the 2XKO alpha on Linux, but for some reason Riot decided to use Vanguard for it and I now I have to play it on a separate Windows install I did on an external SSD.

Not really, I have played it years ago without playing the Drakengard series and only a couple things late game didn't click for me because of that.

People will always suffer. There’s a multitude of variables as to why people around the world suffer.

Let's take a step back. Why does the majority of people suffer under capitalism? Because they have to live in a world where they don't get good, free healthcare, don't have a right to a house, don't earn nearly enough to live comfortably, don't have enough vacation, can't afford to take a trip, don't have time to enjoy their lives, are alienated from their work, have shitty jobs, work too much, etc, etc, etc.

That creates a necessity for charities for all the basic stuff everyone should have, but doesn't currently have. If we give free good healthcare for everyone, the need for charities to threat people disappears. If we give everyone a home, the need for charities for homeless people, disappear.

Okay, so how about they don’t donate to charities… no more technical advancement in medicine, so people can be poor and die from disease.

What??? You do know that most breakthrough advancements doesn't come from the private initiative right? It comes mainly from public, government expending, into research. This idea that private entities advance society is just a liberal propaganda lie that is peddled to us all the time since birth.

Charities isn’t something you enforce or eliminate. It is a free choice to give. Mandate it and you’re just legalizing theft by the authority.

I'm not talking about making charities illegal, I, like every other communist in the world, am talking about solving the issue at it's roots, eliminating capitalism, and that requires eliminating exploitation through labor and eliminating the rich and insanely wealthy as a class.

They donate not because of the goodness in their heart, but because they get tax cuts from it.

Furthermore, what does donation really accomplish when:

  1. People are still suffering, regardless of how many charities there are and how much money they get;

  2. Those wealthy donors are the reason people continue poor since they are only wealthy by exploiting other people's work.

Charities shouldn't need to exist in the first place.

All three are absolutely fantastic.

For me I think I would put Shadow of the Erdtree at the top, because of the sheer volume of content and ambience it added to the game. I absolutely loved all the main remembrance bosses and the new locations added. Rauh was so different from previous locations From did and so good that I now want a jungle themed game from them so bad. I also love the last boss fight, it was challenging as hell.

Ringed City and Old Hunters are tied for me. Like I absolutely love Ringed City, the last boss fight with Gael and how it finished the series, but Old Hunters made me fall in love with Bloodborne, even tho I was so over leveled for it I demolished the DLC. I absolutely love the Fishing Hamlet, it made me feel like I was inside a Lovecraft book.

Yeah yeah, continue to spout your anti-communist propaganda. You already live in a dictatorship, you're just to propagandized to realize it.

The only dictatorship we want is that of the proletariat, as opposed to the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie. That is, a true popular democracy.

Maybe listen to what other people have to say and go read communist theory before saying anything you don't know about.

As it stands your position is not left in any stretch of the imagination.

Hey comrades, how do you deal with bigotry irl?

I'm really sick of so many people around me just saying some LGBTphobic, misogynistic or racist shit. It's bad enough seeing it all over social media everyday, but irl it's even worse. And I can't bring myself to confront anyone about it, be it in person or in a voice call. I don't even know how to confront this type of behavior, what to say, what tone to use, which expressions to make. The few times I managed to do it I was either mocked or met with verbal resistance.

It also doesn't help that my city is very right-wing to say the least, it's like no one I know even think about any of this. It's honestly so tiring.
