They aren’t blanket bombing civilians. They’re fighting a difficult war in an urban environment against terrorists who hide behind civilians, against civilians who support the terrorists, and telling civilians to evacuate but many are coerced into staying by Hamas, and despite all that, they’re still harming less civilians than would be normal in a war in those circumstances.

So no, I wouldn’t be ok with blanket bombing any hospital full of innocent people. I would be ok with bombing a hospital where innocents have been told to leave and where terrorists and their weapons are located.

Tell me where are all the protests against Hamas? Where are all the people calling for them to surrender? All I hear is apologies for their acts

Self hosted free iOS MDM (lemmy.world)
 

I’d like to experiment with MDM for mine and my child’s iPhones, and possibly my child’s MacBook.

I self host tons of mainly docker based services and have a domain, with everything behind traefik already.

Does anyone know a good MDM solution/tutorial to do this? I started to try one free recommended one but it was unfortunately a windows service, and then the apple side setup seemed very complicated and I could really use a tutorial.

And if anyone has done it, what are the main benefits over the regular parental controls?

I’m wiring a type 2 surge protector and want to surface mount it on the drywall here with the cables going into the drywall and then into a breakout in the panel. What kind of conduit elbow can I get to hide the wires entering the drywall that will screw onto the threads on the surge protector? Thanks

Every time I watch thanks for the memory I get jealous that I can’t also erase my memory to enjoy Red Dwarf from scratch. I’ll have to settle for trying to reproduce a triple fried egg, chilli sauce and chutney sandwich

Pixelation on chromecast with google tv 4K (lemmy.world)
 

I recent got a new chromecast 4K. I’ve installed the plex app and tried playing a movie I have that is 1080p, 12.2Mbs, and it is was horribly pixelated, like it was too low bitrate. It was set to direct play.

I tried the same movie on my Sony android tv and it was crystal clear.

It’s not buffering at all and is direct playing, so it’s not a bandwidth issue. Any idea what the issue could be or how I can debug this?

The movie was sin city and has a lot of black and white so the pixelation is very noticeable
