That's a real shame RF Kuang and Ziran Jay Zhao got deemed ineligible. I wouldn't blame the CCP though, that seems like a stretch. Seems like good ol fashioned racism from the west. Let's be real they barely ever give POC authors awards anyway. I read Babel and it didn't seem even 1% critical of the CCP, but 100% critical of the west.
Frozen veggies are usually frozen right after picking so they're actually usually some of the healthiest, as most retain even more nutrients than unfrozen veggies! But it depends on the plant i guess. Either way, better than eating no veggies. My fav is broccoli yum

I want to cuddle sleeping partner, but i've been awake 1.5 hrs and i just can't lay in bed forever in the morning. If i'm awake i'm awake. I've settled on just checking in on them every once in awhile when they sleep in during the weekends and doing awake person things in between. I can only read / shitpost in bed so long before it gets boring

Tiktok isn't an app for kids, i don't want to be ageist - it's for all ages and everyone can have fun on there. But the way tiktoker's talk on tiktok and other platforms with their cutesy little euphemisms for violence and sex does make me think every time "Ah, they're used to the kiddie app", because it's making grown adults be afraid to talk about adult topics.
This is just the fault of censorship and not the app or the users, but it is literally sanitized kiddie language and feels very out of place and hard to take seriously on websites that don't have that censorship.
