Or maybe all those Tory voters in uxbridge thought, maybe I want a Tory instead of low fat Tory?
G4Z
I think anything they can't prove they earned, like with a p60 and a bank account trail they lose. Any money them simply made from owning shit, well, that's ours that is.
They can go on universal credit until they get jobs in Asda, if Asdas will take em.
They're exempt from IHT.
No it's not though because they don't own the crown estates, the public own that and give them a portion of the earnings.
Everything they have comes from us, they didn't earn any of it, it's all just stolen wealth and unitaxed inheritance.
I'm well aware of the history and of course the war in 84, but I'm sorry I cannot find it in me to give a shit about this rock in another hemisphere with 3,000 tax avoiders on it that costs us a fortune for zero benefit
If they feel so British them move to Britain, I'd sooner pay to resettle them than have another conflict over it.
I really don't see why we need any of these overseas territories, they are mostly tax havens, maybe if they start paying normal taxes like the rest of us then I'll start considering them like I would consider the rest of us.
As far as this story, well yeah, that's what happens when you squander all your soft power and fuck up all your relationships with Brexit.
I'll give it a read now as I have a bit time :) but I don't doubt you are right that the UK managed to naff up a good thing, it's what we are good at.
I hope there are solutions out there and if SMR can be that, then that is great, my uneducated guess though is that shit loads of renewable + some big fucking reactors will be the most cost effective method to decarbonise electricity and we can do it now.
Here's something I have read a bit of on the SMR's and the development problems and they do seem to mostly boil down to the economics of it. Of course, there was a time this was true of wind and solar so maybe one day it will be economically viable. Will it be in time though?

Just because companies are doing it doesn't mean it will be a success, there are loads of products and technology created by companies that were total failures.
Regards Thunderf00t, he is a legit research scientist and his videos are very good. He hasn't done one about SMR yet, as I said he mentioned he wanted to do one because there's a lot of unrealistic promises being made. He doesn't make 'gotcha' videos, he makes debunking videos, like for example he was one of the first to point out solar roadways would never work (it didn't) and that Elons 'Hyperloop' was a pie in the sky death trap and would never work (it doesn't).
Like I said, I'm not in the know when it comes to SMR, I just know that guy does know and he's mostly right about these things.
nuclear SMR’s
I don't know much about the details on SMRs but thunderf00t on youtube makes a lot of 'busted' videos and he has mentioned he's going to do one on these, so they may not be quite the panacea we expect.
I'm thinking it's going to be something along the lines of big reactors are in fact far more economical than loads of little ones to maintain and build.
Oh really?
Well I cancelled mine, dunno what the rest of you are playing at!
Fuck that like, I am not a morning person at all.
And it's not even a new development!
Believe me, those voters exist.
