By this is mean it was common growing up that you’d place a console in front of the tv. Depended on the house of course, but I growing up the GameCube, Wii, and 360 were all on the floor and it was the same story for my friends. I’ve haven’t seen people do this anymore and I guess that might be because of media centers, game consoles becoming more of a premium item and the jacks being in front of old tvs. I know it wasn’t unheard of to have a shelf because for some reason we kept the og Xbox and ps3 on shelves. Does anyone still do this?

Shit my earliest memories are with a controller in my hand so I can’t say I remember, but the top 5 games that meant the most to me around ages 3-4 were sonic adventure 2, smash melee, crash 3, Mario duck hunt combo, and here’s a deep cut, Grabbed by the Ghoulies. That last one is a little unknown but it’s the first Rareware game to come out after Microsoft bought them. I still remember my dad walking in with the Xbox and joking he forgot to buy the games which were stashed in his jacket.
