Absolutely! You don't have any say in what family you are born into, they might be good, might suck ducks, more likely somewhere in between. You can choose family that are not biologically related to you, and love them as purely or even more so than you do biological family. Many refer to their close friends as chosen family for this very reason. Love who you love and be happy, no matter who may try to piss on your happiness.

Ah, my mistake. Thanks for the correction

Thank you for responding. I have boiled down the aggregate of answers as basically a tankie supports authoritarianism, or use of violence to deal with opposition. If this take is incorrect, someone please correct where I have it wrong. Btw, I have deliberately ignored references to left/right as meaningless in my quest for information.

Thank you all for your help, it is much appreciated!

I've run across these terms several times, but without enough context to figure out what they mean. Could someone help me out, please?

ETA All of you are amazing! A huge thank you to everyone who responded, and an extra thank you to those who have provided links or explanations to further and/or related information. I am learning so much by reading all of these comments!

Prisoner of Azkaban was my favorite for that one shining moment of hope for Harry, that he could live with someone who knew his parents, loved them, and loves him. The hope was dashed too quickly though, I cried harder when Sirius died (in order of the Phoenix) than I did when Dumbledore died.

Not really, you can love the stories and still not support the views of the author

That looks like a slicker type brush, but I could be wrong. Maybe try something with softer bristles and see if it's more easily tolerated?

That is pretty awesome, look out Grumpy Cat!

This is our old guy, Yoda. He's super sweet, chill, enjoys pets, and will sit and watch a whole movie with you without getting squirrely or bored. We used to have his enclosure sitting on a desk where he had a great view of the tv, and noticed that he spent a lot of time watching what we did.

After playing a variety of videos on youtube and watching his reactions, it seems he'd much rather watch things with people (even news) than with animals, or even specifically crested geckos. Weird, but whatever makes him happy.

He's a great little guy who will give nose kisses when he's in the mood, and sleeps inside a resin model AT-AT. He's also superb at hiding in plain sight and watching us look for him in the enclosure, with what must be devilish amusement. We love him dearly and indulge his tv watching regularly.

Generally you can tell gender on a crested or gargoyle gecko from across the room. Males have a prominent hemipene pocket at the base of their tail which resembles a ballsack. This little lady started to develop one before she was fully grown, and 4 months later laid eggs. I guess I shouldn't have named her after a nonbinary demigod.
