I heard it’s pretty common for lemmy users to have accounts across multiple instances. I have a couple as well “just in case” but the Beehaw community is pretty good and I’m just on it all the time and have barely ventured out on my other accounts.

We’ll see what the future holds for federation but as long as your chosen instance has high quality and active…activity then you should be good.

Have a glass of water at the ready. It always helps to soothe my nerves and if I get stuck on answering a question, taking a sip gives me time to think things through. It’s also practical because if you’re doing most of the talking you’ll end up with a dry mouth and no one wants to croak during an interview. All this applies for both video call interviews or on site, in which case ask for a glass of water before you start the interview.

Looks like Beehaw was indeed the perfect fit and best instance to join. Though it is troubling how many shits like this have joined the Fediverse.

Same here. I think Memmy has improved drastically over the last week or so. Well done to the dev(s?), it’s become my daily driver.

I don't think there's one. Still, I find it a bit funny thinking of myself and my partner sitting next to each other, each on our own gaming PC, once we're old (or should I say older, yikes the 90s really were almost 30 years ago...)

Randomly came across an article on this game. There’s a demo up in Steam but I haven’t tried it yet. It looks really cool and colourful and can be played single player or via online multiplayer (no LAN or split screen as far as I can tell). Anyway just wanted to share because it looks like it could be fun.

Happy to see the beehive growing!

Absolutely agree. WhatsApp is the default in my country and all across Europe. For instance, I was on holiday earlier this month and the hotel I was staying in just contacted me through WhatsApp with check-in info. They hadn't replied to earlier emails but defaulted straight to WhatsApp for communication. It would be a nightmare to move away from it at this point. At least it still doesn't feel like a Meta app.

That's amazing! I am so happy to see space posts here in the Fediverse.

I didn't have any strong feeling about Steam but I do have to say the desktop performance is snappier.

I haven't started season 1 yet but I've been slowly getting through a bunch of Apple TV+'s shows. They're really up there in quality. I'm enjoying taking my sweet time going through them. Everything I've seen from Silo looks like up my alley so I'm looking forward to starting that soon after I finish For All Mankind and watch season 3 of Ted Lasso. Happy to hear of another sci-fi series getting renewed.

Most lemmy.ml communities show up as “pending” long after hitting subscribe but I am able to get them to show up in my feed anyway. Is that your issue?

I’ll try that as well, thank you!

Edit: editing the comment seemed to have worked! The comment is now showing up in lemmy.ml instance.

I’m having this weird problem where a comment I posted in a lemmy.ml community is showing up for me in Mlem and in beehaw.org but it does not show up in lemmy.ml. I understand the others comments aren’t showing up because they’re from lemmy.world users but what I don’t understand is why my comment isn’t showing up. Can anyone let me know why this is happening?
