But I was assured the democrats needed to reach across the aisle to secure the non-existant “republican with decency” vote?

Wonder if supporting a genocide and material conditions deteriorating, with neither giving hope of betterment, could have made people go apathetic? Just a thought

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to share about last weekend, where the Avante! took place. It’s an anual party that celebrates liberty, the revolution of ‘74 that put an end to the fascist dictatorship and the colonial wars, and also promotes the values of socialism and communism. It is also one of the biggest cultural festivals in Portugal.

More than 100 thousand people attended the event, from the country and overseas, where alot of countries were represented as well, via their communist/socialist parties, such as (but not limited to) China, Cuba, Angola, Brazil, Vietnam.

It was three days of debates, music and art that do create some sort of hope in this dystopian world of neoliberalism policies and thought.

Hopefully this gives out some glimpse of good vibes and breaks the doomerism that is so easy to set into when we see the world as we do. Have a great week!
