Zander Hawley, who is the lead singer in the band at the cold open, is the son of series creator Alexi Hawley. Jordan Gagne, who is the bass player in the band at the cold open, is also composer of original music for The Rookie, The Rookie: Feds, and The Recruit According to the rookie fan wiki

It’s my guilty pleasure show. I’m still liking it.

There are some really dumb episodes here and there but the good ones mostly out weigh the bad.
