Review: Acebeam E75 - an efficient general-purpose flashlight with great color rendering, USB-C charging and a 21700 battery

https://zakreviews.com/acebeam-e75.html

Some tools do their jobs so well they're a little boring to write about. The E75 provides everything most of us could want in a midsize flashlight, and very little we wouldn't.

Needs more Anduril :). Do you have any current draw measurements? 190 lm/w is amazing. It has a boost converter?

A power bank function would be nice and tbh I could do without the tailcap magnet, though some users do want them.

Looks like a nice light for users still willing to tolerate closed source flashlight firmware! Heh.

@solrize Current measurements are in the runtime table. Like I said, I think the output (and therefore efficiency) measurements may be a little optimistic. It does have a boost converter.

I agree a powerbank function would be a great addition here. It would be the perfect larger travel light if it had that. The tailcap magnet is easy to remove.

Additional testing has proven that I cannot accurately measure current with my ammeter in series at 6A, and the actual current with the tailcap installed is probably considerably higher. I have removed that number from the table.

TIL that “color rendering” is a feature of a torch.

@Dhrystone It's a characteristic of any white light source. You'll find CRI listed on many household light bulbs as well.

sometimes one of my E75s will get stuck on turbo and to get it to go back down to the mode I was on I have to double-tap a couple of times.

Is that one of mine broken?
