I'm not a Mormon, but I know a lot of them, including a loved one who left the church several years ago.

They were the First Presidency of the church at that time. Basically the CEO, err 'spiritual leader', and his two chief cronies.

Yeah, they really aren't flattering are they. But some in the church are constantly trying (and failing, often spectacularly) to play off pop culture to lure younger people in. This was one such effort.

That's the rub, ain't it? For many, it just ends up being a headstart on religious guilt and gaslighting. Also, the free ones were SUPER chintzy. The rich kids always had their parents buy a silver or a 14k gold one.
