John Oliver so sexy you don't even have to ask the AI to make him so ...
Fucking hell that T shirt with Abs lol overall it looks pretty awesome but also comical.
is this stable diffusion ? and if yes which model?
Yes and Deliberate, but I'm using Loras as well
Let Reddit die, they've monetized our content and then spit at our faces, especially at the mods.
Please create a decentralized harbor to share piracy related content. Dont visit this site again.
I'm still confused why they forcefully reopen a subreddit about PIRACY? 🤔🤔🤔 Shouldn't they actually be glad that it closed?
Because they know people will actually leave reddit if it's closed
and we did
I love the Malicious Compliance from the moderators lately, and the fact John Oliver is just becoming the ultimate meme symbol for the movement and protest.
Just close the sub and make it full link through to this page. 1 link, explain why you've closed and link this Lemmy. Cut your losses & gtfo
That won't work. That's what we originally did and they demodded me to reopen it
What about turning piracy into a porn sub only allowing submissions of pirate themed porn. Seems like the best malicious compliance with how advertisers don't really like to be associated with porn.
keep it open, add automod(if those will even be possible) explaining the situation in every post linking alternatives.
I vote for our Lord John Oliver
Instead of John Oliver, every post must include a link to this site (lemmy).
That'd get the sub banned too quickly. We have to resist, but not make it too obvious. A reasonable person would've seen the fallback site and move here, but if we make things too obvious, we'll not have the sub to act as a redirect to here.
ooh like that idea!!
I'm done with Reddit. This latest debacle prompted me to look into Reddit's history, had no idea before. What an awful company. Also a community not subject to corporate interest is better for everyone. Anyway, I'm not going back there so if the sub gets closed down, no skin off my nose. Yeah do what you will.
In case you don't know how to find some relevant pictures to post, have I got just the tool for you!
https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/post/56846
Simply talk to my mastodon bot like this, or my reddit bot like this (You can summon the reddit bot from anywhere in reddit btw)
Alternatively, just use a dedicated client like Lucid Creations or ArtBot and make up your own style
Allow direct links to pirated content. If they ban you, then so be it.
Question: Would sexy pirate pictures of his fursona, John Ottiver, count?
of course!
There's only one choice here...
Open it up and allow only sexy pirate pics?
Incredible to see so many Huffman's simps in the comments, no wonder why the blackouts weren't that effective
It just means most of the people with principles have already moved here, or that reddit is engaging in disgusting levels of astroturfing. The latest Announcement is even worse. Regardless, it's just ruined.
Pirates crying and simping for reddit are truly the dumbest thinking piracy dedicated communities have a future on a company trying to artificially inflate their value so they can sell it off to other investors. Probably don't even use any sort of adblock.
I guess it's for the best that those astroturfing people stay on Reddit while we can enjoy the Lemmy-verse.
I have already created some ai images and they are so silly. I can't wait.
Hey Captain, this instance seems to be hosted in Germany? Is that correct? How safe are we from the empire? What is our battle plan if this gets shut down? Shouldn't you make an account on one of the other instances so we can coordinate if this does get shut down?
(Also, is it weird to post 2 top level comments? I feel like editing my other one wouldn't get the attention needed, since you don't get notified for edits.)
The rules are there to protect us. If I get enough funding for hosting, I plan to move this to a safer harbor.
Would be funny to only allow pictures of John Oliver wearing an eyepatch; so as to not give admins the excuse that the name is unrelated or something.
Then a link to this lemmy comm for 'discussion' around actual online piracy on the sidebar or a pinned post; this is our main hub now after all.
A subreddit poll like what r/pics and r/aww would be great, because then you're just doing what the community wants.
Who tf wants discussion about digital piracy on Reddit? Sexy pirate John Oliver pictures is way better
John Oliver becoming to redditors what Adam Driver is to John Oliver and I'm here for it
Wow, that was my first time back on reddit since all this happened, and even though it was for good, I still feel a bit... unclean. Like I helped them out by sending traffic their way
Yarr harr! All hail the swashbuckling matey of Reddit freedom, John Oliver!
I deleted my accounts and refuse to click Reddit links, so I can‘t vote or even see it, but I hope whatever option is most annoying to the admins wins.
I don't get the reasoning behind the poll. If the admins don't allow to shut r/piracy down then just post links to pirated material. It's closed.
Wasn't this sub in danger of being closed a few years ago? So let them.
I'm disappointed they're just doing the John Oliver thing again instead of something more unique like making the sub about literal high seas piracy.
I think it should be literal piracy themed porn, since advertisers don't really like to be associated with porn. Every sub should be moving the shift to becoming porn.
Doing something unique is too engaging.
The entire point is making the site boring and useless so people move
@AtomicPurple @db0 Now that /r/piracy is officially endorsed by Reddit staff I reckon they should allow direct links to copyright-infringing content. Disney's lawyers would get a good payout from Reddit.
My only interaction with Reddit in the last week has been voting on these polls.
Glad to see there wasn't a hostile takeover of the sub. +1 for the Lemmy link.
