Banger of a day yesterday. Elite performance from both sides.

I'd say it's pretty even at the moment. This morning's session will be fascinating.

If both were match fit I'd say, on this wicket, they're just about even. Ali, however, is anything but match fit. I rather doubt we'll see much of him in the last innings.

agreed, do you think Ali's batting figures makes him the better overall player? or is it Lyons steadfast goat as australias best spinner

Shame about the weather but I'm glad it they didn't come back out. I was worried we were going to see a few dismissals in succession.

yep, would have been annihilation. we'll see how the pitch is tomorrow, if it stops raining that is hah

Incredible stuff. The sum of Australia’s work just now: 2-2 from 22 balls and because it’s nice and bite-size, here’s how they went.
Sixth over: Cummins - dot.
Seventh over: Boland - 1, dot, dot, LBW appeal, LBW appeal, dot.
Eighth over: Cummins - beats the bat, dot, dot, WICKET - Duckett, dot, dot.
Ninth over: Boland - WICKET - Crawley, dot, LBW appeal, dot, dot, leg bye.
Tenth over: Cummins - dot, caught behind appeal (Australia lose a review), dot.
England: 2-28 (Pope 0*, Root 0*) England lead by 35 runs
