"3 Beds, 2 Baths, No toilet"

Did you know that if you piss in the same spot regularly, the entire area will smell like piss all the time? I deliver mail to a lot of people with dogs. Many people just let their dog out the front door, where they will immediately piss 2 feet away because they had been locked in the house all day. So many houses smell like piss at the front door. And there's nothing you can do about it once it's there. It'll take years for the smell to go away without serious intervention.

Don't piss at your front door...or maybe do if you get a lot of unwanted visitors. Just know that if you do, it will smell really pissy all the time.

I lived in a pretty nice apartment complex (brand new construction, I was the first tenant in my unit) for a couple years that allowed dogs. The building had a single entry/exit that was convenient enough for daily use that was also covered (Seattle area, so lots of rain) and the dogs all pissed immediately outside the door and it always smelt like the worst dive bar bathroom you’ve ever been in, but was particularly pungent on warm days. The management didn’t do anything about it and would take prospective folks right through the cloud. I loved that apartment and my view, but I do not miss that piss.

You're right. It will build up. But, it also can be diluted, used up by plants/microbes and will dissipate into the atmosphere pretty quickly. Few months to a year for sure, provided fresh urea isn't being supplemented to the area.
If you need to speed it up, spray vinegar then grind up charcoal and turn it into the soil. Finally, wet w water from the hose.

Yeah that's Dave. He lives nearby

[–] MajorHavoc@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Honestly, Dave might not be the worst neighbor I've had.

"One of the two baths is shown in the picture".

Turns out my house had two baths too, and I never realized.

That location at the front step isn't a coincidence. This is a statement.

Why is the yard entirely just...dead? Like, not even weeds are growing in so much of that prime dirt, just a bit of grass thats still hanging on

[–] QuinceDaPence@kbin.social 4 points 1 year ago

Over shaded + cars driving on it too much + nobody caring for it to help it combat those other two issues.

[–] SomeoneElse@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

I think there’s track/tyre marks in the middle like it’s been torn up by a car or something.
