I haven't played the recent games, but isn't it impossible for a Pokémon to switch in cursed or confused?

No. They are both volatile status conditions. They are cleared when the mon is withdrawn or the battle ends.
I dunno about cursed, but yeah switching out removes confusion
If the opposing Pokémon have abilities which cause curse and/or confusion when a Pokémon enters the battle, then it is possible
Sorry bro gotta sack you so I can get a clean switch into my counter.
How is it cursed/confused if you're just sending it out? Like isn't taking it out of battle the cure for those conditions?
Me before every pokemon battle
Competitive Pokemon must be cool, no doubt about it, but I always found competitive weird because it is barely Pokemon but just spinning PokeBalls because of the constant switches lol.
If the entry point for competitive wouldn't be that much time consuming (breeding and such) I'd have tried it a bit more... Nowadays I'm just on the casual side (very casual because I am stuck at Omega Ruby yet).
