It got too cold in my Chicago-area garage for these guys, so I had to bring them in early. I planned on waking them up Valentine's Day week, just to get an early start on the growing season. But here we are.

The sundews had been in the tent all winter, but the flytraps and sarracenia were enjoying a nice garage nap.

Let's see how we're looking in a few weeks.

Oh, and I'm going to ditch this setup in a few weeks. I am ordering shelves and 4-foot Barrina lights. As many lights as I have read about and all the studying I've done, for whatever reason plants just grow unusually well under Barrina lights. My succulents have taken off, and I'm assuming my carnivorous plants will as well.

I'm from EU and brought mine in this year too, because I got some new additions native to South Africa. I bought cheapo lamps and a timer i set to 2h. The seeds from the summer all sprouted and everything is covered in tiny plants. The drosera are actually flowering a second time now. I don't know what to do with all the seeds. I will probably put some in a sealed container, in case the aphids find my plants in the summer.
