Frankly the subreddit wasn't a lot better about this. Yes posts could be tagged via flair, but each flair type had to be manually set up by moderators, leading to lots of unused flairs and no flairs to represent brand new PD versions. I'd suggest just mentioning the version in the title if it's relevant.

This community is a place to talk strategies, tell stories, or discuss anything related to Pixel Dungeon or its many versions.
Rules:
-
1. No hate or adult themes of any kind: NSFW or illegal material, hate speech, personal attacks, harassment, doxxing, bullying, etc. are all strictly forbidden. Crude or offensive language should be kept to a minimum or avoided entirely.
-
2. Posts must directly relate to Pixel Dungeon: All content posted must directly reference Pixel Dungeon or one of its variants in some form. Loose connections or similar nomenclature from irrelevant works do not count.
-
3. Do not use other's work without giving credit: You may post things that were created by other people, but you must link to the original and credit the author. AI generated content is prohibited, as crediting the original authors is impossible.
-
4. Follow site-wide rules: https://legal.lemmy.world/fair-use/
We have a few title tags for standout posts:
- [MOD] - Posts by moderators about the community
- [DEV] - Announcements from a developer of a PD version
- [OC] - Self-made original content

Ok, thanks
In addition, you can use this link to keep an eye on the most recently updated PD's. Mind you, some are just copies of the most recent release. You want to keep an eye on the ones with different names.
Different mods/versions of PD are given different names, and the posts for them are usually tagged with [DEV] to let you know it is a developers release.
It is up to 00-Evan, but the whole point of that is to start a new quest. You don't have to take the pick-axe or do the quest, you just won't get any bonus.
Thanks for info!
You may want to look at this post too, as it covers information on over 300 PD's available.
