My name is Commander Shepard and this is my favorite Mass Effect community on the citadel.

Rules & Regs:

  1. Don't be a dick, unless it's a really spicy renegade interrupt. But even then, seriously, don't be a dick.
  2. Memes are great - seriously, I need more Mass Effect sh!tposting in my life.
  3. This is a welcoming community for all stripes, let's just remember there's people on the other side of the screen and act accordingly.
  4. If you're here, you gotta post. Thems the breaks, kid.

Going for one more run before Starfield. This time on Insanity difficulty. I have just beat Eden Prime and so far so good. How did your insanity run went?

Also, will Starfield fill your sci-fi itch or will we all return back to ME? From what i saw game looks very promising but since this is Bethesda we are talking about and it's year of broken AAA games I can't help to feel reserved. I don't believe we will get space opera like ME but im really hoping that SF wont disappoint.

Are you playing the original games or Legendary Edition?

I’ve found that the games are easier on MELE. That said, Insanity is what separates the casual from the hard core. ME1 on Insanity went all right, but Lord Almighty! ME2 had me wanting to give up gaming altogether.

Going to check out this Starfield thing. I hadn’t heard a lot yet.

I just started a new game recently too. Not because of Starfield, just because I have the time now to play all three games and I got a bunch of mods. I have zero interest in Starfield and it looks bland as bread imo.

How much different is insanity difficulty? I might go for it on the ng+ run through.

I have to say, man ME1 still holds up after all these years. I'm surprised. Other than the copy/paste sections it has in places it's still a solid scifi RPG. I'm loving it.

Im also afraid that game will be bland. They say you will have 1000 planets to explore. But what does that mean? Will we have 2 max 3 story planets with actual thing to do and 998 empty ones with copy/paste environment and few basses ? Developer struggle to make one good world.

As for ME insanity, i still cant tell since im at beginning. It is harder, but way enjoyable.

Agree with you, ME1 still holds.

Steam user data suggests that only half of all gamers will even be able to run Starfield. It's not looking too promising for me, so a ME run to smooth over the disappointment may be in order.

Yes, providing it's as good as it looks like in trailers, the initial errors are going to be patched and we finally get the proper "naked mod".

Congrats on returning to ME. The galaxy needs you, Commander!

If Starfield delivers it will be hard pick between SF and Baldurs Gate 3 for GOTY.

BG3, hands down.

Starfield won't have the meme-potential of BG3, that gave us bearf*ck already, before it's even out.

Don't get me wrong, I probably won't even play BG3 at all, but it seems like an obvious winner...

Starfield might scratch the Elite: Dangerous itch but I can't see it doing the same for mass effect honestly. Two different types of game.

That being said I'm going to wait and see what happens on launch cause they don't exactly have the best track record when it comes to game launches. Probably just going to be another AAA disaster.

What class are you using for insanity? For me insanity is the only way to make vanguard fair lol
