Looks beautiful! How did you do the weathering like that?
Warhammer 40k
A community dedicated to the universe of Warhammer 40k, a tabletop setting in the far, distant future.
This is a general community for 40k miniatures, art, lore discussion, and gameplay discussion.
Rules
- Keep it civil.
- No memeposts/shitposts. Memes are great but direct them to grimdank.
- Please mark any posts containing realistic nudity or realistic excessive gore/violence as NSFW; this rule mainly applies to cosplay and realistic drawings rather than miniatures. Being that 40k is inherently violent, this is a judgement call, and mods may occasionally request posters add tags.
- No political or social cause agenda pushing.

I used a sponge to stipple on the paint
Man, I have got to try this sometime, it looks so cool!
Hope to see it posted here! Feel free to DM me if you have any questions on how I do it. Also check out Trovarion on YouTube. His videos are what inspired me to try it
Thank you, I appreciate that! I have a ton of stuff in the queue right now but I'll be saving this for sure
Those cacti are great, just like th rest! Is that a GW base?
Thank you so much! The stone/pipes under the foot are part of the sculpt, but the rest I added. The cacti and crab are from Epic Basing. I 3D printed them, but they also sell physical pieces.
Looks great! 😃 Like the textured effect you have going, how did you do that?
Thank you! I used a sponge to stipple on the paint. Trovarion Miniatures has a few videos on the effect that inspired me.
