Electric cars are still terrible for the environment

Especially if they are suvs.

Not as bad, and getting better. They have a lot of potential too

I wonder if the impact is worse for motorbikes or small ev's with sodium ion batteries getting charged with solar being used as a vpp

It's not realistic for people too use public transport in every case (I do hiking as an example)

I don't believe in this kind of protest and still electric cars are also damaging the environment.

It was an SUV. The leaflet the protesters left and which is quoted in the article points out it's not just the emissions that are dangerous but the increased likelihood of these vehicles killing people in a collision

You can read most of the said leaflet from the image in the article.

ATTENTION: Your gas guzzler kills

It's an electric car.

We have deflated one or more of your tyres.

We did this because driving around in your SUV vehicle has huge consequences.

SUVs are the second-largest cause of the rise in CO2 emissions over the past decade, more than the aviation industry.

It's an electric car.

SUVs cause more air pollution in your neighbourhood than smaller cars.

It's an electric car.

SUVs are also more likely to kill people in collisions.

One out of four ain't bad ๐Ÿ˜‚.
