Visited L.A. recently and was not impressed. One of the thoughts I had there was, "I would hate to bike here." I commute via bike in Montana despite the lack of infrastructure, nice to see some are still Biking in LA. Hopefully they can improve. Very entertaining video as well!

Oof yeah my old place in San Francisco a woman got dragged for 6 blocks by a semi driving in the bike lane. Was pretty gruesome, they finally put up concrete lane separators after that. I don't really fuck with city biking much in NA tbh.

Twice a car has come into the bike lane while I was in it and I swear my heart was in my throat. I was fine both times, but people get distracted and I'm all for barriers

I biked there for 20 years and it's not that bad. I live in a much worse city for it now. I could make it from one end of the city to the other with a combo of bike and rail. Cars are a problem anywhere they mix with bikes but I always found routes that went the same direction with less traffic.

Less traffic routes is usually my strategy as well. Annoying to lose the time, but so much less stressful having less cars around

I ride my bike in LA every day, and almost exclusively use it to get around. I've drove once in the last two months I think.

Some parts of LA is an okay city on biking if you know where you're going and the area.

More parts of LA is fine for experienced bikers.

But there are many many parts that are just outright terrifying.
