Whether any of the rumored clothing sewn from scalps will ever be recovered is another matter.

Sorry for the game ref, but this immediately reminds me RimWorld. One of the gruesome things that players do in the game is to use human leather for random stuff like cowboy hats, armchairs, or even dusters in a pinch.

Trivia: there's a currently endangered language called Ossetian, that is most likely related to the languages spoken by the Scythians - either a direct descendant of one, or of a close relative.

Now I can't get the idea of a fruit leathercraft out of my head. If you someday see a youtube video of fruit leather moccasins, knife sheath, and arrow quiver; that is on you. You have nobody but yourself to blame for incepting that.

I've heard of people growing kombucha scoby in rectangular containers and then drying it to use in place of leather.
