So, do you feel nostalgic for a format? Are you looking forward to a release? Heard any exciting news? Want to show us your shelves? Then post away.

The quote is,

“The streamers are denying us any access whatsoever to certain films, and I think people are responding with their natural reaction, which is ‘I’m going to buy it, and I’m going to watch it any time I want."

Yes, that's certainly true for me, Mr Cameron, that's why I'm currently curating my collection of your films in the best possible Blu-ray format. I'm not a big fan of your AI upscales, but I will purchase The Abyss because it's better than my twenty-year-old DVD.

Yes, I had a conversation that touched on this in my local last night after the manager described the hassle of setting up his daughter's Sky Glass - it's reached the point where you are paying a subscription to not only watch and "own"/rent media but but to have the device to watch them on in your house. I assume it suits the kind of people who want zero clutter in their soulless Scandinavian style box of a house where everything is beige, including The kid's clothes.

Agreed. I wish the 4 Ks we keep hearing that Peter Jackson is working on for his early films would materialize too. Sure I have the shitty spanish bootleg blurays but i’d pay good money for the real thing!

I'm on the verge of purchasing the Spanish bootleg for True Lies. I'm having a fight in my head. It's how much do I like the film vs having the Blu-ray to complete the James Cameron collection.

I still use streaming services for TV shows produced by said services. However in the last year, I've returned to sourcing physical copies of movies and music, because I'm tired of the bullshit.
