There are way, way too many people on the planet, it's not anywhere close to sustainable.

We can face it, or we can let it sneak up from behind and fuck us, but we can't dodge reality by ignoring it.

The wastefulness of the capitlist mode of production, through overexploitation, overproduction, and cyclical consumption, is at the root of the sustainability issue, not the number of humans. Shifting the focus to overpopulation only serves to arm the narratives of the capitalist class and establishment.
