Hello Guys, some one knows how i can use Firefox as a Search Provider in Gnome like Gnome Web ? This would be really nice because than i have all feature i need in a browser with back swipe gestures and also with the search provider

hopefully there will fix this :) Because i think fore security reason its important to have the Browser as Flatpak ^^

I remember it works with flatpak. Fedora distribute their firefox as flatpak, and search provider works out of the box.

I also made it work before with the flathub version. You just need to add the boolean variable and set it to true. And enable the bus org.mozilla.Firefox.SearchProvider for firefox in flatseal.

But remember this provider only work when firefox is open.

ehh, flatpak is not a security sandbox tho.

There is a nice extension for online searches: https://www.omglinux.com/search-web-gnome-shell-extension/ which opens then the results in the default browser.

It is about Firefox being search provider for Gnome Shell which should be already the case for Fedora Workstation installs.
