I'm currently on my honour run and much to my dismay I can't stop role playing. I'm playing a Githyanki monk. So far I've staked Astarion, dismissed Gale and refused all Illithid powers. All because it made sense for my character. And apart from Astarion these are things that can be quite useful with the increased difficulty.

I'm curious how this will influence my choice of companions down the line. I've never taken the later ones with me. At least not for an extended period.

I'm probably not alone with this "problem", right?

Same here, im doing evil run on honour (not dark urge) and so far I beheaded Karlach, killed Halsin and everyone in Emerald groove , Wyll and Gale left me. But hey, Minthara thinks im cool.

STAKED? I thought you meant STALKED, and was wondering how that was kinda cute. OMG.

I've resisted all urges to give into the illithid powers in my first playthrough. It's much harder to roleplay an evil character, I've found.

I've always loved the idea of dangling a golden carrot in front of the protagonist, only for it to be a poison chalice at the end. I'm still not sure what the illithid powers will do in the endgame (though I'm in act 3 and will find out soon enough!).

I staked astarion in my honour run by misclicking. For some reason i thought i was clicking the push him off option and then all of a sudden im stabbing my sassy day walker. So sad.

Honor Mode while much harder than Tactician isn't actually hard for most CRPG veterans.

I love it. It's almost a Hard Mode. And the Legendary Actions actually add a verisimilitude of difficulty to boss fights. The Game is intended to be role played and gives items to simulate compensation of the loss of companions.

Gaining Minty with a full party is supposed to take work.

If you've staked Astarion though you have killed your most powerful companion based on starting stats.
