Whenever I need to do some class work like that I really enjoy playing either one of the Civilization games or Bloon TD6.
For a little while I tried doing Total War during this too, but can't really do class stuff mid battle so it made class take way longer
Minecraft creative mode
Look up incremental / idle games. They're basically 'afk games' where you press a few buttons, buy some upgrades, plan a strategy, and then come back minutes/hours later and spend accumulated resources on upgrades and repeat.
