Welcome to the club!
ref was a wanker period.
Ah well. What ya gonna do, hey ho.
You conceded three
The result I want but man that was such a horrible call, what’s wrong with pausing for a second if it feels like there may be an advantage?
Fuck Man Sheikhy
How does it feel?
This is why it's pointless to try to argue over who has suffered the most from these decisions, and who benefits from it. There is no referee conspiracy, it's just incompetence. The quality of refereeing is apalling, and every club has had their turn getting screwed by it. This narrative of such and such coach making excuses or needing to move on is just getting the refs off the hook week after week for some god awful calls.
115 breaches
100%. Shoulda let play continue. Maybe the refs are in Spurs' pocket for these big matches?
Ah well - couldn't have happened to a better squad.
Edit: Clearly the sarcasm in the last sentence didn't come through, ahaha.
Definitely nothing to do with all the missed chances. 💯 The ref.
I wanted Spurs to win that but that was an appalling decision.
He even played Grealish on. If he was concerned for Haaland, then why didn’t he stop the game immediately?
Always rated Premier League refrees.
First time?
Oh well, what goes around...
Hope they're rattled.
bro its been 2 minutes apologies don't come out this quickly
Utterly shit call though, how is that even possible?
I guess the oil money didn't make it to Simon's account in time?
It looks like he blew because he thought city had lost the ball, i e no advantage. But who knows.
Grealish looked offside so it might not have worked in City's favour. Happy with the result though. They shouldn't moan about the ref when they concede 3 goals like that. Haaland missed a sitter early on.
boohoo
crazy how referees get away with it too
Guarantee the pundits don't mention it afterwards
Truly a bad call from the ref. He played advantage, then it looked like Grealish probably wouldn't win the long ball, so the ref whistled. Should have waited. As a Spurs fan, glad he didn't.
It was a horrible call that much is clear but to call it a robbeery is just laughable. There is absolutely no guarantee that Grealish takes it down, doesnt get tackled and manages to score. I know that reddit is a cess pool for bad opinions but jesus christ, take breath and have a think about what you are posting before you post it.
Played advantage then called it back. Was Grealish offside? It made no sense and just a horrendous decision.
Could anyone tell me what happened in this game? Did not catch it live.
Has there been a single gameweek this season that hasn’t displayed complete incompetence from the officials at least once?
My only thought is he assumed Grealish was off so blew the whistle as the advantage was gone?
Still in this technology era I don’t see the harm in letting something that close roll to its conclusion and then sorting the potential offside after?
Good

Not fun when you're on the receiving end is it
I thought Man City “pay the refs” ?
I think he was coughing but were too embarrassed to admit. LOL
Karma for cheating for the last 10 years
Basically, players go down after a foul so often now that an advantage is so rare the ref has forgotten what to do about it
Colour me shocked that an Arsenal fan doesn't like a Spurs result.
Honestly, they've got the rub of the green for years and so one refereeing cock-up is neither here nor there. And I'm not even going to mention the 115 FFP charges so let's keep some sense of perspective here with the 'got absolutely robbed' crudola, huh?
Simon Hooper reffed this match and Spurs vs Liverpool. He shouldn’t be a ref anymore
Terrible decision but hilarious
Grealish looked offside anyway, no?
Oh booohoo. If Arsenal and Liverpool slip up next week they could be top again. It’s not that bad! Geez.
What a shitty refereeing this season so far.
I mean, to put things into wider context, remember Man City have just won a treble and continue to win most titles PL these days due to their never ending financial resources, which enable them to dominate the league (to the point it’s now boring because only one team really wins it.) So… I’m sure they can afford to not too bothered by one bad decision in one game.
Have a cry
ManCity players literally surround the ref on every call that doesn’t go their way and never get punished for it it’s wild
Fun to see all the crying that it's fair when it happens to city. Almost like refs aren't corrupt, they're just shit
Counter balance
Simon Hooper IS directly responsible for Spurs + points this season.
