Project Session. Going for a quick skate with out actually having to get up lol
Slay the spire. I just pick it up and zone out for whatever time necessary
Either Forza or Proskate.
Valheim. No question.
Deep Rock Galactic, Ultrakill, MADNESS Projext Nexus... Kenshi. Sometimes I need the Ol' Reliable to unwind from whatever shit life throws at me. Have a pint with lads, P Rank P-1 again for shits and giggles, go murder Burger Gil again, behead Lord Phoenix (Blessed be his name)... you name it.
cruising around in an open-world racing game
No Man's Sky
NFS
BeamNG, used to be forza horizon but since they added that stupid broken server mashing feature it is rare to randomly meet people to chill with.
OoT
Swinging I Spider-Man is so therapeutic
Listening to video game soundtracks often does the trick.
Heist missions on Assassins Creed Unity, somehow still find it fun
Weight room
the Hunter: Call of the Wild.
Pick Hirschfelden, sit on your Quad and drive to some vantage point, then put a marker somewhere and travel there on foot, and enjoy the view while your at it.

I used to just boot up Star Fox and complete the hardest route with all the time warps when I was bored.
-
Resident Evil 4 has an unlockable arcade mode where you just survive a map while opening chests with time extensions. I used to get on that everyday instead of going for walks.
-
Arkham City has this one room where you first meet Harley. You go up against the big sledgehammer clown and 30 other enemies. I had a save file right at this battle and I would try over and over again to clear the room in one combo without getting hit. It was super fun.
Terraria
Driving around Night City in CP2077 or Aimbotz on CS2.
Grindstone. Do one or two daily leaderboard levels. Zen as fuck.
18 holes on pga23. With music and announcers off.
Team Fortress 2 64 player 2Fort.
rounds, it always goes so fast.
Skyrim, but then I forget to go back home and walk forever
Wed-swinging around New-York.
Mines currently swordsman on the psvr2. I like to jump on and hack off a few limbs in the endless arena mode. Very cathartic
AC Valhalla, Horizon : zero dawn
Rdr2, fishing and just riding around on the horse doing nothing
Playing warframe. Just messing around is always fun.
I think Fallout 4.
I may end up installing/changing a hundred mods first, but when I get into the game I just kinda go
Back in the day GTA SA, just cruising around. Then, The Crew. Now Saints Row 3, Tears of the Kingdom, or Red Dead Online.
The video game equivalent for most people would be getting on a hardcore PvP game and getting killed and then complaining it's not relaxing enough
wanting to blow my brains out after a dota 2 match is my walk
Garry's Mod, just going around slowly exploring source maps alone and being immersed in the ambiance of some of them.
Playing rouge likes
Fishing
Racing games fill this void for me. Turn on music or a podcast and just focus on driving.
Ghost of Tsushima, Flower, Uncharted 4... so many!!!
Gta online just some races and fun modes
Depends on the kind of walk honestly. Sometimes it’s The Witcher 3, sometimes it’s SSX3 or Skate, other times it’s something like GTA just driving around aimlessly.
No Man Sky
Animal Crossing New Horizons
Minecraft
Seconded for Spider-Man. Recently, though, its been Hitman: WoA. I can hop into Freelancer mode and do one or two missions (or fail spectacularly, but whatever) and its pretty relaxing.
Just cause 2 with superman mod, inf ammo and health and free quick vehicle spawning. Just flying around the map and firing off two grenade launchers at everything.
Depending on my mood:
GTA V: (if I’ve had a stressful day and need to take it out on something )
RDR2: (if I’m in the mood to hunt or fish or explore )
Detroit: Become Human: ( when I want to help someone in my RL but can’t )
Pick a random indie game and try it out. ( When I need inspiration to do something )
Second Life. ( when I just need to vent to random strangers )
Right now for me it's Elden ring. that game I could just pick a random grace and just beeline in any direction. I wander maybe I find something new to pick up sometimes I find a secret I thought I covered.
Beamng. I recreated in automation my old car that I had to leave behind and I use it to cruise around the Italian map.
