Surely everyone here agrees that Salah has already cemented his status as a Premier League great right?

Seen some really mad stats from him lately

What strikes me about him is that he’s almost always available for selection too. (Played in 325/355 matches since signing). Unused sub three times, he missed six games in 2022 due to AFCON. Could miss PL games v Bournemouth, Chelsea & Arsenal next month due to AFCON

Comes across as a pretty nice guy too Constantly puts up great G/A numbers as well

Ya no shit, hes a legend.

Hes got everything to be a PL legend-

  1. He broke the scoring record and set a new one, albeit the life of that being a few years - that answers the question of setting benchmarks
  2. Hes a PL winner, and multiple times been on teams with 95+ points - that answers the question of legacy to the fans
  3. Hes scored more than 20+ goals 4 times in PL and twice 19 goals, while oncourse for another 20 goal season this time as well. Talk about consistency- i think only Henry, Shearer, Kane has these kinda numbers
  4. Hes had tremendous success against UTD,Everton,Chelsea and City - the rivals, big teams Liverpool was competing with.

Ya safe to say hes a PL legend and future HOF.

He is above Henry for me. Legend and I am an United fan

[–] cabramattacowboy@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

He’s the best player in the second best team of this era. The equivalent of Thierry Henry at Arsenal. He will absolutely be remember as one of the greats.

[–] Snacks75@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

I don't even think it's a question. Dude is an absolute baller.

[–] ObjectiveObserver420@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

I’m baffled as to why there aren’t already plans for his statue outside Anfield

[–] wikott@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Premier league legend yes, but not guaranteed to be in an all-time premier league XI

EDIT: For those downvoting, here’s a BBC poll from last year. Salah didn’t make the final team.

A legend. A king.

[–] Alexiasanchez@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Preface with this, I'm not a Liverpool fan and don't have a care for the club.

If Salah was European or South American, he'd already be considered one of the greatest in premier league history. His numbers are insane.

[–] Good-Cash2177@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

He is the most consistent player in PL history. Just the numbers alone as a Winger, goals scored against big teams, PL trophy, Player of the season.

This may sound bias but to me, he is top 5 all time best PL players. Just way too many goal contributions and he takes proper care of himself.

I think if he was English he would have been called the greatest PL player of all time.

[–] broke_the_controller@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Yes he is already a PL legend

[–] -replicant_@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

He’s the best winger in PL history nvm a PL legend.

[–] H0vis@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Why 'already'? He's in his thirties. His status was already settled.

[–] DeskAdministrative42@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Surely this is guaranteed, a level above 95% of players. Only man I've seen give VDV a torrid time this season

[–] mvp-a1@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Erm yeah I’d think it’s safe to say so

[–] PercySledge@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Coldest take ever lol he’s obviously a PL legend

[–] aodum@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

His "problem" is his media game? If he had a Ronaldo/Messi brand building team behind him it would never be a doubt.

[–] RefanRes@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

One of the best 1 season wonders theres been.

[–] WarDull8208@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Ofc he is a legend and In my opinion he is the best winger in EPL history.

[–] therighteousdude23@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Abso-fricken-lutely, from a yank across the pond wishing I will see this legend play in person

[–] mofoofinvention@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Yeah, with ONE Prem title

[–] Chubby_Checker420@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago
[–] GuaranteeLoose4494@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Best winger in prem history and can break into the top 3 all time scoring chart if he stays with Liverpool

[–] Manofthebog88@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Yes. Next question.

[–] thisisnahamed@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Salah shows up for LFC every season. He is a legend.

Only Kane and Henry and Shearer have such a consistent record in the PL.

[–] MarvZealous@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Is anyone denying this? The debate should be, in an all time team who would you play on the wing Bale or Salah?

[–] Few-Airport-8@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

if he's not, who is?

[–] InterviewBitter1647@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Even as a Manchester United fan- in an all time premiere league eleven, I’d have Salah on the right wing

[–] Veteran_But_Bad@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

from an arsenal fans perspective if this guy was younger hed be the most valuable asset in the world

one of the best most consistent and complete attackers the PL has ever seen a top top class player that scores a range of different types of goals gets plenty of assists always puts in incredible work rate and is barely injured

when mane was pressing as a strong fast and physical but also technically gifted player liverpool were almost unplayable

if not for Man Cities consistent under the table deals we would be talking about one of the most successful teams in the PL era

[–] Tricky-Jackfruit8366@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

He definitely is

[–] ArizaWarrior@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Without a single doubt

His goals total for a winger is higher than anyone, look at the strikers he’s up there with, and he hasn’t been in the league his entire career either. He’s got assists too, match winning performances, big game stats, big game performances, and all the trophies… there’s no argument against him.

[–] This-Zookeepergame31@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Greatest PL winger is pushing it but his legendary status was cemented a while ago

[–] SadiqUddin@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Salah is one of the best current players. He has probably reached legendary status already.

[–] No-Clue1153@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

He's definitely in the top 2 Egyptians in the league right now, no question.

[–] sqb3112@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Yeah, Salah is a legend for sure. Not sure there’s been a better winger.

[–] el_ddddddd@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

100% a legend. One of the greatest attacking wingers to grace the league. He has it all.

[–] NOAHMNIA@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Yes, easily.

[–] mesenanch@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

ABSOLUTELY.
Nothing to even consider

[–] PhantomPain0_0@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Joke of the century

[–] city_city_city@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

I'm a City supporter and the answer is, absolutely, yes he has.

[–] kwhicks@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Legend for me and I’m an Arsenal fan lol he def deserves it

[–] AizenMadara@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago
[–] Aromatic-Olive-906@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

How is this even a question?

He’s the greatest winger in PL history.

[–] Drokran@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

He's certainly among the top right wingers currently playing for liverpool

[–] Competitive-Sea613@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

The monthly "Is Salah Legend" post.

Yes, not a single reasonable guy thinks he is not up there with the best.

[–] GoalPublic3579@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Yeah… about 3 years ago

[–] omarkop10@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Probably has the most goals and assists against the big 6 clubs

[–] theebloodywhet@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

As an Everton fan, as much as it hurts to admit, yes he is. Anyone who says otherwise is lying to themselves. Salah's goal record from the wing speaks for itself
