If it’s the most famous 4, I’m going with PAC-MAN, Mario, the T-block from Tetris, and Pikachu.
For my personal favourite 4, it’s Tommy Angelo, Arthur Morgan, Scorpion, and the Daytona Hornet.

My Skyrim character for sure
Mario- Most iconic pure gaming character
Pac Man- icon, innovator of laying groundwork for many gaming elements/subcultures
Sub-Zero- Fighting genre representation, Mortal Kombat at the heart of the Senate hearings/cliches that led to the ESRB's creation
Arthur Morgan- Modern "gaming as art" representative (Kratos and his world revolves so heavily around Greek/Nordic mythology and Geralt was a popular book character first/the Netflix adaptation is based on the books, not game)
Adoring fan, Rex, Patches (the spider), Epona

Pac-Man, Mario, Dovahkiin, Steve
Well I'm a Playstation guy through and through.
Crash Bandicoot representing the PS1
Ratchet & Clank representing the PS2
Nathan Drake representing the PS3
Spider-Man representing the PS4
Kratos representing the PS5
In this order:
-Link
-Samus
-Solid Snake
-Ratchet
Mario
Ryu
Megaman
Sonic
-Link
-Gordon freeman
-Mario
-Master chef
Leisure Suit Larry.
Fallout Power Armor Helmet Guy
Lieutenant Double-Yefreitor Harrier Du Bois
Marcus Fenix
Isaac (of "Binding of Isaac" fame. Also the bible, I guess)
Doesn't the Mt. Rushmore question limit it to 4?
PAC-MAN - The first mascot. Hall of Famer. Icon.
MARIO - I think this one needs no introduction.
SONIC - A rival appears!
After that, I'm actually not sure. Lara Croft is a contender. Doom Marine? I guess Master Chief and Kratos could be tossed into the mix, but I'm less sure. The gaming landscape exploded upon the PS1's arrival. There's so many franchises and characters.
I agree with list, I wanna add Geralt of Rivia, Commander Sheppard and Solid Snake
I'd go Mario, Steve (from minecraft), Master Chief, Kratos
Snake, Sonic, Gordon Freeman, and the annoying Tetris block
Yoshi, a Tetris block, the wise old man from RuneScape, and toad. Not the character from Mario, just like a regular toad.
Arthur Morgan
Kratos
Solid Snake
Batman (Arkham Games)
Mario (Most Iconic Platformer Character)
Doom Guy (Most Iconic FPS Character)
Either Cloud Strife or Pikachu (Most Iconic RPG Character)
Either Ryu or Scorpion or Sub Zero (Most Iconic Fighting Game Character)
I'd wanna capture several eras, and I'd want them all to be game changers.
I think I'd pick Pac-Man, Mario, CJ and Steve. Claude may be a better pick than CJ because GTA3 is the gake changer, but he's just not as iconic
Pac-Man, Mario, a Tetris Block, OG Link, and Ryu.
Probably the two rectangles playing against each other in pong, still trying to find the lore🤔
