The warriors
The old NES Batman was fabulous, especially in a system where almost all movie adaptations were cheap cash grabs.
For SNES I'd say Aladdin and the tough as nails Star Wars trilogy, especially 1 and 3 (2 was just too annoyingly difficult)
Over the hedge
Southpark 64
Peter Jackson's King Kong. Most of the big movie moments are there and all the filler is excellent.
while the game was fairly short and didnt really offer anything incredibly groundbreaking, i thought the Terminator: Salvation game for Xbox360 was really fun and had a good story. i enjoyed the first few movies, and the game ran smooth and felt punchy and polished.
Me personally, the old Jurassic park game, that's like a telltale game, where you make decisions throughout the game, was really fun and great story personally.
DragonBall evolution for ps2
Which Philosopher's Stone, since there are 5 completely different games? :) I'd personally add Spider-Man 3 (GBA), Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (PC) and Shrek 2 (PC).
Maybe not the absolute best but I never ever see the Batman Begins game on these threads. It was almost like a precursor to the Arkham series and it was absolutely great
Thanks for reminding me about the OG Harry Potter games; the first two on PS1 were killer! Otherwise Mad Max for me; I keep forgetting Goldeneye the game and movie are related bc I played so much multilayer lol. Honourable mention to Shrek 2, and the Chicken Run game!
The warriors
Even added a fucking backstory on who the gang were and what went down before the movie
And it was an absolute blast to play
Technivally not direct movie based but fallout 3 references a few movies
Star Wars Episode III
That shitty new Texas chainsaw massacre game
Let’s not forget X-Men Origins Wolverine. First time I ever played a game that was better than the movie.
The friendships lost and gained, lost again, gained again, etc.
Lilo and Stitch weirdly enough had a decent crash bandicoot rip off game now that I think about it...
Jurassic park
Terminator: Resistance was pretty good.
Haven't played Alien: Isolation though its on my list and looks like damn good.
Is Spider-Man 2 based on a movie? Isn’t it based on the comics?
It's Goldeneye
X-Men Origins: Wolverine was a pretty sweet game
Someone said Toy Story 2 and im gonna reaffirm that cause that was just a genuinely good game growing up. Its been awhile since I played it but it was fun. Runner up would be Stuart Little 2 being a decent collectathon platformer as well.
Another one thats actually okay is Cat in the Hat on PS2. They basically just cut to the climax of the movie with the house all screwed up and made a Klonoa clone but its remarkably competent. They even made sure levels were easier to backtrack in in case you missed any collectibles
Alien isolation, surely?!
The new Robocop looks dope as hell.
The SpongeBob Movie game was really good
Spider-man 2 and King Kong are the ones I really enjoyed. SW revenge of the sith was pretty fun too. I wish they would release a fighting game like the dueling mode it had
Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game
No other possible answer.
The wolverine. Game was fantastic!! Played it about 6 times. The movie really sucked but man. That game was great
i haven’t played many but lego starwars is a classic. Haven’t played the skywalker saga though so idk if it id better than the complete saga
I'd vote for Alien Isolation
Either Treyarch’s Spider-Man 2, Scarface the World is Yours (continuation of movie), or LA Noire since it’s basically LA Confidential
