If only speaking from personal experience, many games nowadays have an almost implicit requirement to search up a "before I play" guide or a "beginner recommendations". If nothing else, many people want to Google "missables", to ensure that they can fully experience a game.

What is your recommended game that requires nothing but the player to be in the moment and enjoy the experience?

Undertale, I got spoiled so bad for the game and now it’s also filled to the brim with porn (mostly of goat mom Toriel and Sans)

First Dead Space when it came out. I was trying so hard to not spoil myself and I did it. Totally worth it. One of the best decisions in my life lol

Any JRPG with a baller story. For example, Trails to Azure is all about the plot twists, and literally the only thing I'd say "look up a guide" for is the Nielsen quests. Anyone who's big into Trails speculation knows exactly why I say "don't miss anything Nielsen related"

Albion Online. For odd reasons. The game is fully player run in terms of economy. And is a constantly shifting sandbox with a hilarious amount of behind the scenes politics and crazy stories like you hear from old eve that the vast majority of players simply do not see. By according, alot of the content creation in this game has become either intentionally misleading, or well intentioned but misinformed. Stuff like "how to get good xp rates" "what are good builds for pvp" is all stuff youtube will answer very poorly. You need to engage with people who are in the know of whats currently good, and engage in it with them to see for yourself. The gap between those who really know/learn the game and those who are youtube guide watchers, is galaxies apart.
