Can't stand to just play a game I love with a created, anonymous nobody, where you could just select a known one in a roster

I don't say I hate EVERY game with an editor, I usually love good editors, but just the ones where you have lots of options from the roster , for example, I'd have picked an established character in SFVI World Tour over any edited character, even if the editor itself is awesome

As someone who does a lot of tabletop rpgs, I've never had an issue with blank-slate avatars. Quite the contrary, I love making my own character and backstory to fit into the game.

This is one of my favorite parts about games like Soulsbournes, I’m not just controlling a character, I’m controlling my character.
