A place to politely discuss the tools, technique and culture of photography.

This is not a good place to simply share cool photos/videos or promote your own work and projects, but rather a place to discuss photography as an art and post things that would be of interest to other photographers.

I currently use a iPhone 15 pro for my pictures. The camera is great, but im not sure weather to use HEIF max or JPEG max. I know about pro raw max and the iPhone does have that, but those take up a lot of space and I don't have an external storage drive yet. So out of JPEG max and HEIF max witch one should I use for higher quality pictures?

HEIF, for the more efficient compression if nothing else. Although I believe iPhone JPEGs also lack the HDR gain map that HEIF has, but not 100% sure on that one.
