Deus Ex
Since 2012, 2015, and 2018, the games I have played the most, and come back to over and over again are (in the order they came out): XCOM - Enemy Unknown/Within, XCOM 2+Expanson, and BattleTech.
There are other games as well, but those ones I mentioned above are so far ahead all other games, that it would be a bit ridiculous to mention any more. XD
Red Alert 2 /// Mental Omega. Even my super slim laptop can play it and you can just jump in to a mission/campaign or skirmish anytime.
RE4 remake
Valhiem most recently and if course wow
Xcom 2
Dead Cells
Line Rider
Roller Coaster Tycoon Classic
Stellaris. I put it down, 2 months later it's another 100 hour campaign. Been doing it since launch. The wonderful mods really add life to the game in a major way (as they do with many other games). Also when I put stellaris down, it's to play total war (insert version here). I love them all.
Baldurs gate 3 has me in its clutches. I cannot stop playing it
7 Days to Die.
Hear me out.... Do you like tower defense games? Maybe you prefer first person shooters? How about base building with a robust minecraft-like block system? Maybe you like RPG's with a skill point and XP system? Like games that can be modded? Do you have an itch for 'loot' games?
If you like at least one of those, then you'll like 7DTD. It's got it all, and then some. Find loot, build, hunt, cook, prepare for the 7th day blood moon, compete on PVP servers, build vehicles and traps, and fight off zombies that get harder as you level. Play solo or with friends. Make your server as hard or as easy as you want it. Do it all in the apocalypse !
Baldur's Gate 1 and 2
Final Fantasy XI (MMO) I had never played FF when a friend introduced me to it post high school. Prior to that I teased him from playing the series.
11 was such a grind and unforgiving but also so rewarding when you actually accomplished something. I've gone back to it countless times over the years to include presently playing on a new private server.
The game is far from perfect, but I guess I just have such fond memories that I can't let it go. Even during the times I wasn't actively playing, I'd occasionally find the soundtrack through YouTube or Spotify then go down memory lane identifying all the music and it's corresponding zone.
Resident Evil 4 OG / Remake. Just so much replayability. This game never stop giving you stuff with got mercenaries and now separate ways its just to much haha
Since its release, crusader kings 3 has knocked Civ 5 (and 6..) off its Throne after many years. Play it every now and then for a run tho
Risk of rain 2
Daoc
Dead by Daylight Not perfect by any means, but I just keep getting back to it, maybe I just hate myself tbh
Old school runescape
Path of Exile and The Binding Of Isaac
Probably unpopular but dirt rally 2.0. The daily challenges have me hooked. Something about a daily competition is addictive in a way that few other games have managed to accomish. Not to mention it's just a really well made racing game. Endless fun.
Undertale and the first 2 chapters of Deltarune. There's nothing I don't love about those two.
Hollow knight — it’s the perfect game for me because I love bugs haha. It always feels like there’s something new to discover in the world, the lore is super interesting, the bosses are challenging and there are plenty of ways to continue challenging yourself in the game. I just love everything about it.
Half life 2 + episodes, I have been playing them non stop over and over again since like September
Always loved it but idk, recently it just grabbed me again and won't let go, I love it so much
I have a few.
ARK is the big one. I have a combined hour total of 8-10k
Diablo 3 and now Diablo 4 are big ones too.
This year, Spider-Man 2. That game is incredibly fun and addictive
RDR2 - can’t get enough of it. Arthur has the best redemption arc of any video game protagonist imo.
Dota2
I think its subnautica
Diablo 2
Rimworld
advance wars 2
Runescape
