I always somehow find my way back to playing No Man's Sky. No matter what I do, game I play, activity inside or outside of gaming, NMS is always there to play and chill. Sometimes I go on creative and spend a week amassing the perfect color coordinated team of ships, crew, frigates, and freighter.

That and every content update we get for free!

Rocket league been playing for like 5 years with friends. Just so easy to get on and play a quick game, very few toxic people, always fun.

Otherwise any katamari game

Probably the dead space remake. I've already gone through like 4 times. I love the atmosphere it's peaceful and less dramatic

Geometry Dash

No matter how much I love a game, I can't seems to play it more than once. Wish I could wipe my memory to experience Elite Dangerous for the first time. Or GOW 2018 & 2022

Shogun 2 total war or medieval 2. Just something about those games that can allow me sink 8 hours straight in them without noticing time passing if im in the right mood ( not necessarily perfect games tho)

Disco Elysium: Each playthrough creates a completely different atmosphere.

I'm going to get a lot of down votes for this, Genshin Impact I just keep going back to it for the frequent updates and new stories and characters.

Mass effect, its just such a rich and real feeling world that I cant help but go back and complete another playthrough every couple years.

I cannot believe I haven’t seen “Hollow Knight” in this thread yet. It’s so good, and for being a 2d platform I can’t quit. I have put hundreds of hours in. As a middle aged dude, it gave me something to play and bond with my children over.

I'll do an annual mario 64 run. I know it so well I can beat it fairly quickly.

There are two, really. Both from the same era.

Super Metroid: just so well done, the best of the Metroid games. Nothing has come close in exploration, bosses, etc.

Phantasy Star IV: always the first game I pick up after January 1. The story is excellent, and it did the whole “main character dies” beat years before Final Fantasy VII.

[–] hottubman_99@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Heros of Might and Magic 3. Haven't played it for the last year since the computer that housed it is down.

[–] KaoKraft@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I agree with you on No Man’s Sky, but also add Deep Rock Galactic to that

Hard space: Shipbreaker

Tearing giant space ships apart is just so soothing.

World of Warcraft, it's not perfect, but it's a great game to do a variety of things to relax and forget about the real world lol
