I purchased my first Apple Watch on the weekend and my bank statement shows a separate charge of $70 (the value of the gift card). Is this expected or am I just mixing it up in my head?

Usually they discount the watch by the value of the gift card, then charge for the gift card separately.

So jf you add up both amounts it should come to the total you were expecting.

You are correct. This is exactly how it’s set up.

The price of the watch should be discounted an equivalent amount.
