In a similar vein to the question posted earlier today, I wanted to know what book reco would you see as a huge green flag when dating, and why?

My answer: Lonesome Dove

Why: It delves into themes of friendship, loyalty, and the complexities of human relationships. If they like the book it tells me they have an understanding of the nuanced dynamics that make human connections meaningful.

The Annotated Alice.

On earth we are briefly gorgeous, beautiful writing and story :)

Any book of The Stormlight Archive. Not because of personality reasons but it gives me a hell of a lot to talk about on the date

Maybe wanting to talk about books on a date is why I'm single.

I feel you so much on this! It would make the best date honestly and I'd be so excited.

Though the chsnces are slim, maybe we'll get our Stormlight Archives date at some point 🤞

I feel like it’s pretty realistic if you go on dates with nerdy/geeky people. He’s the most popular fantasy author at the moment, right?

All my friends are nerds and so have most my dates been. Yet few are avid readers and even fewer like the same books as I do.

So far I have met one colleague who likes Brandon Sanderson and one person in my entire life who had the same favorite book as me (Wheel of Time). This makes me think it's hopeless.

Maybe I should join a book club or something 😅
