You can replay old games, especially if they're your favorite, however many times you want. But it's only natural in wanting to try newer games or games of different genre. Also, trying out games you missed out from years past also helps. I've been going on a retro gaming odyssey myself, playing a number of games I missed out in the 1990s and early / mid 2000s. I personally find many of these old games more fun than most of the newer games.

You have an addiction my boy, I had a gaming addiction so bad that it cost me some really really good opportunities in life(girlfriends, jobs, having my own place etc.). I quit games when I realized exactly what you realized, there’s too many games and not enough hours in the day for them.
Now I’m not saying to quit permanently but you have been playing games longer than you attended school(let that sink in). Go outside and find a healthy hobby, hang out with friends, only play games with friends while at their house.
Because you are a sheep who falls for advertising strategies.
