I think most RPGs are a great candidate for this question. If a villain suddenly knows about leveling and gear stats, his main goal would become to level up as much as possible, potentially starting a whole genocide to farm XP

Also how would politics and society change? Do you tax level ups? Make new laws that keep certain builds illegal? Would you be able to join the Imperial Army after completing the Dark Brotherhood in Skyrim?

Pokemon.

Those 1000 charmander eggs you hatched then released while looking for a shiny are probably not helping the ecosystem.

Log Horizon anime is a story that looks at what kind of society would develup if people were all stuck in an MMO world.

Overlord anime also touches on it, as they try to force monsters to cross-class.

I feel like if Sephiroth used any number of support materia paired to Meteor it would have gotten much worse. Use Quadra Magic and W-Magic and it’d have been 8 Meteors

Metroid Prime:

Space Pirate encrypted data decoded.

Log 11.222.8

Science Team is attempting to reverse-engineer Samus Aran's arsenal, based off of data acquired from her assaults on our forces. Progress is slow, but steady. Command would dearly enjoy turning Aran's weapons against her. We believe we can implement Beam weapon prototypes in three cycles. Aran's Power Suit technology remains a mystery, especially the curious Morph Ball function. All attempts at duplicating it have ended in disaster; four test subjects were horribly broken and twisted when they engaged our Morph Ball prototypes. Science Team wisely decided to move on afterward.

Now imagine if it worked.

If I were a Souls boss I'd probably just stop fighting. If my opponent is immortal and keeps coming back to fight me and learns more every time, I'm just leaving.

Not related to the question but do you know how much positive karma it took before you could post here on R/Gaming it keeps telling me I need positive karma

They don’t reveal the threshold, but they do say it doesn’t take long to reach. You need karma specific to this sub, so just keep commenting in this sub and I imagine you’ll reach it soon enough.
