I'm interested in getting an AW and itll be my first smart watch, just a question about them

If I were to only get the WiFi edition of one, would I still see push notifications that come in from my phone? Like getting texts or a notification from an app like Snapchat for instance? I assume as long as its paired to my phone and my phone is nearby and connected to it, this will work no matter where I'm at. Or do I need the cell model for that feature?

As long as you’re in Bluetooth range you’re good.

That said- the cellular model is a better tier. The stainless steel Series 9 is classy looking, made with better material, and having cellular on your watch can be an absolute life saver. I highly recommend spending the extra on the stainless steel model.

No because you're stuck paying a monthly bill for that LTE functionality

I’ve had both types of AWs. Because I have my phone with me at all times, I realized that not only was I paying $10/month for cell service I would never be using, the cell service was actually causing a problem because if I ever did walk away from my phone, my watch would try to connect to cell service (which is slower than WiFi) and my downloads to my watch would be slow. So I decided that it’s best for me to not have cell service on my watch; that way I’d know that all item on my watch got there via my phone.
