Hi,

I am trying to play a 4k video file from my laptop to MrMC via SMB connection. Because of the quality/size of the file, there is a lot of buffering. If I were to connect the AppleTV to my laptop using ethernet, would the stream be better?

the quality/size of the file shouldnt have anything to do with buffering.

Buffering is network congestion.

Well, smaller 1080 videos play just fine without any buffering. It's only the 4k video that has buffering. Stands to reason that a bigger file takes longer to load, right?
