Dropped my iPhone 13 in 3m deep water yesterday. Decided to go after it today, and it turned on underwater. Rinsed it in the sink, and dried it with a hairdryer and it works just fine! The speakers are a little f’d but we’re good. Hoping it doesn’t have any damage

Hell yeah! I also dropped mine off the dock into the harbor. Approximately 3m deep (with tides) But after about 27 hours in saltwater, my phone was good to go.

I’m pretty sure my dad’s iPhone 13 Pro is dead. It’s been in salt water for over a year at 6m.

So you went the next day? In the ocean? And found your phone?

Yeah i got help from someone with actual diving gear tho. It’s currently -10*C and gets pitch black at 3pm where I live. It’s also a two hour boat ride to the place I lost it, so I probably would’ve frozen to death trying to dive after and locate it without at least a wetsuit. “Luckily” I dropped it from a dock so we found it straight away with an underwater flashlight.
