I noticed in photos that my left wrist looked significantly thicker in old photos compared to now. I usually work out with it on and wear it snug (not tight). After going to bed I take it off and notice an indent on my wrist. Anyone else get this? Is it bad long term?

It’s pretty normal for wearing any kind of watch. No worries

I get one but I also exclusively wear the sports loop

No indentation on my wrist, but my band is not as tight as yours.

Wear it on the other side while sleeping

No but I have a farmers tan

Loosen your band and this will improve.

My watch wrist looks just like the photo posted by SazzF. If I loosen it, the watch tells me to tighten it to take any heart readings, and I don't get good sleep data. It doesn't feel too tight.

How do you get good readings but not a wrist dent?

You are actually wearing your watch correctly, don’t listen to people saying loosen it. Heart monitor watches should be worn snug to leave a bit of indent/marks to function correctly.

I Have had no issues getting a heart reading when it’s just making contact with skin. It doesn’t need to press into your body.

I didn't used to. But since I've started consistently wearing it while sleeping, I now have a red indent. In another thread a commenter said they wear their watch on the opposite wrist while sleeping so I may try that.

I have. I’ve had one since S0 and didn’t wear it every day but over the last 4 years I’ve worn it every day.

Also, as you can see, a very strong tan line! I’ve never had any itching or rashes though so it doesn’t bother me. I do wonder if it’s because I’m older so my skin isn’t as supple as it once was?

It looks like you wear your band much too tight.

Is that hand always numb?? Because it probably should be.

[–] gomazoa93@alien.top 0 points 11 months ago

Same bro, probably is. Gotta wear it less tight. But then it moves around more, even more annoying when washing hands, worse if it's leather and gets wet.

I’ve had an Apple Watch since the S0 and I don’t have an indentation. I rent to get hat and sock indentations pretty easily. Sounds like yours is too tight.

Ok offtopic but I went into hospital for a checkup and the sock markscan be a sign of a heart condition apparently. Maybe check that out. ❤️

Nah I just have exceptionally strong calves so long socks always dig in a little bit

Thanks though! I’ve read about that in the past so definitely good to bring awareness.

Ok! Good good :)
