How many of you guys wear your AW 24/7? I’ve been only wearing it as a watch. Not really even working out in it since I have Whoop but I’m interested in utilizing more of the features such as HRV, V2O, etc. but I feel like I will have to wear it 24/7. I usually only wear my AW only during work.

If there was a 25/7, I’d be wearing it 25/7.

I wear it probs 22-23 hours a day. I let it charge while i shower and a bit after

I don’t wear it when I shower or in bed

[–] Mpulsive_Aries@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Yes except for when I go out to like dinner I switch.

[–] MattW22192@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I don’t wear mine when I’m at home but a lot of that was from my prior AW 4 with sport band being uncomfortable for me to wear for extended periods of time which I’m trying to change since the Milanese loop on my new watch is much more comfortable.

[–] gideonboxer@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Yea, only take it off for cleaning and charging.

[–] Neuromancer2112@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

On the AW Series 8, I pretty much only wore it at work, then let it charge back up, and would use it to track sleep.

Now that I have the Ultra 2, I can actually go over a day without taking it off, thanks to the better battery life. So the only times I take the watch off are for charging and taking a shower.

[–] LitBit_618@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Nope. Wear it during the day. At night it’s charging & I wear an oura ring for sleep tracking.

I do. Brief charge in the AM when I'm showering, etc. and briefly at night before bed. Otherwise, it's pretty much always on my wrist. Ultra 2.

[–] juicyb09@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Yes! I charge it when I commute to work or in the car on the way somewhere or just sitting around. I love the sleep tracking feature.

[–] legallypurple@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Except for the 2 hours every two days when I charge, and during my daily showers.

[–] Laketech@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I have a couple Apple Watches. There is always one on my wrist.

[–] Alarming_Tooth_7733@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (3 children)

May ask why you have multiple?

[–] FloatingMilkshake@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Maybe one is older? I've heard some people say that after upgrading, they use the new watch for everyday use and the old one for sleep tracking.

Wear it all the time except when I’m going for a shower.

[–] MrNewVegas2077@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago
[–] shm8661@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Yes. Charge it while driving

[–] Kranon7@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I wear it to sleep and then charge it while I shower and get ready for the day. It is fully charged when I leave for work or whatever other thing I am doing.

[–] WhoWho22222@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Mine goes on the charger at night and comes off in the morning. I haven’t done sleep tracking since my Fitbit.

[–] ColorSplit_CC@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I wear mine 24/7 except for when I’m showering. I like having my heart metrics tracked.

[–] PineapplePizza99@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I wear it when I´m at work or when I´m out. I also wear it through the night for sleep tracking. There is zero reason for me to wear it all day, I dont like having anything on my wrist while I´m at home.

[–] PrettyboiQMJ@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

24/7 except showering. Even though it’s water proof. Series 8 45 mm

[–] CA1900@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (11 children)

I do. The vibrating alarm has been a fantastic addition to my life.

All day and night. It may get a top-up on the charger for like 45 minutes. (I am one of those nerds that have an Ultra because of the battery and screen and not because I am climbing mountains)

[–] forestball19@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Well, with how power hungry my AW8 is, it’s more like 22.5/7.

[–] Avengerius@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

No, I generally charge it overnight because I don't really find the sleep stats useful, and it's the most convenient time to charge it.

[–] MDK1980@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Only time I take it off is to shower, which is incidentally also when I charge it.

[–] ComradeBirdbrain@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

No. It doesn’t hold the charge to last all day and all night. Garmin does and I’ve previously used that all day and all night but you need to give your wrist some air.

I think the best option is an Oura ring for 24/7 use and Apple Watch for daytime use and exercise.

My experience of the HRV, Vo2 Max stuff on Apple Watch has been hit and miss though. Vo2 Max especially. I’m not quite where I’d expect to be on Apple.

[–] desertlobo55@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I had a two for one special and didn’t have anything to do with the second. So I literally just have two that I alternate every day. I wear one of those two watches always. I really appreciate having them and now I feel like it’s basically part of my skin lol

[–] europeancafe@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I used to but after the big OS update I never use the watch outside of exercising.

The OS is glitchy, cant easily switch between faces or record workouts, everything is just way more clunky to use very simple features. Add all that with the massive battery drain causing it to die in the middle of the night so sleep tracking is interrupted just left my not really bothered about my watch anymore.

This is coming from someone who religiously closed every ring for years and never took it off.

[–] Neptune502@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Only during the Day (7am - 10pm). I hate the Feeling of a Watch on my Wrist while Sleeping. It also helps with only needing to charge my Ultra once a Week.

I mainly bought it for sleep tracking, so it is always on my wrist at night, and most of the day too -except when I forget to put it on from the charger

[–] Cool-Newspaper-1@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I do. Mainly because I like data, especially rhr.

[–] abnerkravitz860@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

No, I don't wear it when I sleep. Those metrics don't interest me

[–] lovebot5000@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Yep all day. I charge it when I put my kid to bed. I like the activity and heart rate tracking. The sleep tracking is cool too.

[–] marcelocampiglia@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I wear an Apple Watch at all times, an Apple Watch Series 7 during the day for almost all, and an Apple Watch Series 4 at night for Sleep tracking.

[–] rresende@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

No. Sometimes need to charge.

[–] theplasticfantasty@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I wear it anytime I’m not at home (work/gym/errands), mostly so I can keep my phone in my bag. I don’t wear it around the house unless I’m on the treadmill and I tried wearing it to sleep to track it but it was too uncomfortable lol

[–] hughiesghost@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I wear it 24/7. Charge it once a day. I wear it for health and sleep tracking, exercise, and messages notification.

[–] notorioustph@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

yep! unless it’s charging and i leave the house and forget to put back on

I generally do, but I gotta switch wrists often. My left wrist gets terribly irritated and I develop a sore.

[–] KnightWolf-@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I only take it off to charge it while I’m in the shower

[–] gentlegiant80@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Nearly all the time. About an hour for charging. Maybe more I’ve closed all my rings early and aren’t going to do anything else but layabout,

[–] pakleiven@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I wear it as long as it has power, which is almost 24/7

[–] M27TN@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I don’t wear it at night. I sometimes only put it on for my first walk of the day so if not before work then lunchtime. I also like to wear a normal watch occasionally to go out or to the office etc

[–] Neomastermind@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I wear it to work or when I’m going to be out of the house for an extended period of time. Otherwise, it’s on the charger.

[–] tymustard@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

That’s impossible. It has a battery that needs to be charged.

[–] itsaarxn94@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

All the time except in the shower
