So whenever I use the search feature , the results behind the keyboard are blooming through it now . I tried any and all transparency / display settings 🤷‍♂️ An iOS thing or damaged display ? Thanks.

It’s been like that for years, my SE on iOS 14 has a translucent keyboard as well.

Pretty sure it wasn't like that for him/her before the ios update

Probably just an iOS 17 thing then

Why do you still use iOS 14

Soooo it turns out it’s a normal iOS thing , I guess I didn’t notice it from beginning 🤷‍♂️ Seems strange to me. Why anyone would want a distracting bloom effect shining through the keyboard is beyond me. Tried switching to a 3rd party keyboard, but that actually doesn’t replace the keyboard used during “search” ah well. Thanks guys.

Gboard replaces the default keyboard while using "search". Here's a screenshot:

Swift has the same "blooming" effect that the default keyboard has.
