When watching NFL Thursday Night Football in Amazon Prime I do not get to hear the Announcers , although I can hear background noise. When I watch on my IPad or IPhone everything is fine. This has happened several weeks in a row .

This has been happening to me too. No sound through the center speaker where the commentary comes from on all the feeds. Have had to resort to using my Xbox or PS5 for TNF for weeks now.

Everything else works fine on Prime Video for you as well? I’ve tried everything I could think of, logging in and out, reset the app, uninstall and reinstall it to clear the cache, restarted the Apple TV, nothing. Double checked my audio setup and nothing was wrong as everything else plays as it should.

However, if I switch the audio output to the TV speakers from my audio system, I can hear the commentary. It is so weird and makes me think it is a specific thing with the app and my sound setup.

If anyone could help us it would be greatly appreciated. It’s been driving me nuts for weeks as Amazon support was useless.

I use some HomePod minis as a atmos setup for my basement tv and I have this issue, my living room tv just has a sound bar and similarly has audio issues with their app.

It’s their app, so far the only thing that fixes it for me is to back out of the app and restart the stream.

Yes . I tried all of the above . I tried streaming from my iPad to the TV using mirroring . The sound is fine but the picture was smaller. Unfortunately or Fortunately I’m a Jet fan and they had it on local TV this week. I should have just not watched . I also recall watching Prime baseball and did not have a problem.

I’m watching Ohio State Michigan on the Fox Sports App on my Apple TV and it’s perfect. It’s actually broadcast in 4K.

I’ve had this issue with TNF a couple times, it’s their app and the way they handle multiple audio streams I believe.

I often have to back out and restart the live stream once the video plays.

I don’t have this problem in any other app anywhere, but you’re not crazy and you’re not alone.

Same thing has been happening to me for about the same length of time. It’s gotta be something on amazon’s end because this is the first year this has happened.

I’ve got a super high end 7.2.4 audio system fwiw.

It’s wild because I’m getting no sound from Apple TV in wireles speakers UNLESS it’s live broadcast in Amazon prime.

There is likely a problem with your audio configuration. What you describe is a symptom of having your sound system configured for 5.1 Dolby Digital (or higher) and not having a center channel speaker.

Agree with subnet. Broadcast voiceover only runs through my center channel so if you only have a 2.0 output it sounds muted

I have it set up as 7.1 and use a Center Channel Speaker . Everything but Prime Football works fine. I’ve streamed some of the Fox broadcasts through their app, (because some of their broadcasts are 4K).

I’ve been told that this is a problem on the Apple broadcast side. There’s nothing you can do until Apple fixes the feed issue.
