Huh? If you're going to buy a new machine anyway then why choose the base M3 if you can go for a refurbished M2 Pro instead? Do you see a reason to get the base M3? This post doesn't make any sense at all...

If that’s your use case, why are you getting a Pro instead of an Air?
For your needs MacBook air M1 I feel will be good enough... Last month I had to work remotely as a graphic designer but I did not have a proper designer machine so I gave a go to my Air M1 8/512gb and it does a great job using at least 4 adobe softwares at the same time (including AE)..
