Hi everyone,

I'm searching for an app that lets me stream what my iPhone 12 Pro's camera is capturing directly to my MacBook Pro. The setup involves mounting the iPhone on a tripod to film downward from an elevated position. I need to monitor what's being recorded live on my MacBook for better control over the shot angles and composition.

Any suggestions for an app would be really helpful.

Many thanks.

I know there’s a feature built into macOS for acquiring images from your phone. No third party apps required. Not sure if it works for video too. Might be worth a try looking around in QuickTime Player… I’m sure there has be something there. If I can stream a live video feed from my phone’s camera to my Watch and you can now use your phone as the camera for FaceTime video calls on an AppleTV then you must be able to do what you’re asking on a MacBook Pro!
